President Cyril Ramaphosa has revealed that someone is being held for questioning after a massive fire outbreak at Parliamentary precinct.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Ramaphosa arrived at parliament accompanied by Premier Alan Winde and Public Works Minister Patricia De Lille to witness the damages.

He expressed gratitude because offices were not burnt down

Hence he thanked everyone who acted fast upon the incident.

However, Ramaphosa said the news is devastating as it came a day after Desmond Tutu’s funeral.
