It seems like things are not going so well for DJ Shimza. The year 2021 is ending on a bad note for the musician. Its sad as Dj Shimza is now under investigation.
The Public Service Commission has launched an investigation to look into DJ Shimza’s Hang Awt Restaurant in Tembisa.
The commission is investigating Shimza for unduly benefiting R150 000 from a government tender which was allegedly not in the Department of Tourism’s data base.
Shimza whose real name is Ashley Raphala has been under fire from former Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane who has been advocating for an investigation of the Dj.
It is suspected that the tender was irregularly awarded to the DJ as Shimza is not registered on the department’s database of service providers.
This is not the first time that the Department of Tourism is caught up in a scandal. Minister Kubayi Ngubane landed in hot water after spending R150 000 on a cook off with Somizi Mhlongo at Shimza’s restaurant in May.
