Popular actor Israel Matseke Zulu has had his leg amputated as he was suffering from gangrene. The actor became popular for playing (Mandla) Tsotsi’s father on Tsotsi.
The award winning actor who has been playing the much loved character of Don on Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora has been open about his illness.
According to Sunday World, the actor revealed that he was recuperating following the operation on his right leg.
The disease had crippled the actor who was now using a wheelchair to be on set most of the times. The operation was done at a Sandton Hospital.

A source revealed that the Yizo Yizo actor might return on Gomora set next year after making a full recovery.
