Flavio Hlabangwane’s case has hit a brick wall, Hlabangwane is facing charges of murder after body parts were found stacked in his fridge where he was renting a room in Protea Glen, Soweto.

On Tuesday 30 November Hlabangwane appeared in the Protea Glen Magistrate’s court but the matter was postponed after his lawyer dumped him over unpaid legal fees.

However it seems Hlabangwane is on suicidal watch as the court was informed that he tried to commit suicide twice since his arrest a few weeks ago.

An application was then filed for him to go for mental evaluation. National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane said the matter has been postponed for the accused to sort out his financial issues.

The lawyer indicated that he hasn’t been paid, meanwhile Hlabangwane will be at a mental facility where health care workers will evaluate if he is indeed mental or not.
