The Premier Soccer league is a sport that is dominated by heteros_€xual$ and being gay in such an environment proves to be difficult. Gays face discrimination from other players and owners of the clubs.
Phuti Lekoloane is a talented footballer who disclosed his s_€xua_lity and openly declared that he is a gay man.
The footballer revealed to KickOff that he has been to several NFD clubs for trials without any success because of his s_€xua_lity. Despite facing discrimination the 22 year old goalkeeper is not ready to give up on his career.
Even though he gets sidelined Phuti, said he is not ready to hide his s_€xua_lity in order to be accommodated in the football fraternity.
He went on to say that hiding made him lose his touch with football. Thus when he came out as a gay man everything went back to normal and he has never looked back.
Phuti is the founder of the LGBTIQ Legacy where homos-€xu-al players meet and get to play football without facing any discrimination.
