Fans of Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora are not happy with actor Israel Matseke Zulu’s departure from the show. The actor played the role of Don on Gomora.
The actor earlier revealed that his contract was not renewed on the hit show. Now reports have emerged that Israel Zulu is sick and that his health is deteriorating.
“The reason why I’m leaving the show is that I am sick, I started becoming sick shortly after I joined Gomora and I decided to leave the show because it was becoming difficult for me to walk.”
He added, ” Towards the end when I was shooting my last scene, I was using a wheelchair to get on set.”
The actor said performing is part of his life and quitting was one of the hardest decisions he had to make. Israel said he needs to put his health first.
He went further to say it was also hard to quit because many people had fallen in love with his character. Some are threatening to stop watching if he does not return.
