The cast and crew members of the SABC 2 drama series Muvhango are anxiously waiting to find out if they still have jobs. They are apparently angry at management for not letting them know if their contracts will be renewed or not.

A source revealed that management sent them a letter about two weeks ago stating that it would contact them after finalisation of the new contracts. The letter came after two months of no communication.

The cast is not happy because if they are not given new contracts for a new season, they should have been told already. They are sitting at home worrying about their fate.

The also don’t know whether to look for other forms of employment or not. Some are bread winners and they are worried since the festive season is approaching.

The cast usually get their annual break in August or September every year but a new season usually begins in October. This year the actors and actresses are still not back at work along with the crew.

There were rumours that the SABC 2 show was coming to end. This was after SABC 3’s Isidingo: The Need was canned. Other shows which were canned not so long ago include Mzansi Magic telenovela Isibaya and e.tv’s Rhythm City.
