The Democratic Alliance’s Helen Zille was seen today casting her vote as it is the first day of the special voting for the 2021 municipal elections. Voting will take place between 8am and 5pm this weekend.

Zille told eNCA news that her party has a chance in Nelson Mandela bay. She said a lot of towns in Eastern Cape have been destroyed because of many years of no investment.

She said Nelson Mandela was in need of a decent government. Zille said DA is capable of turning around the fortunes of the City.

She added that in Western Cape, she is confident that DA will return its majority in Cape Town.

In addition she said DA is capable when compared to ANC. She said the poorest places in Cape Town for example Khayelitsha is far much better than other poor places in Metros that are run by ANC in terms of service delivery.

Zille had to cast her vote today because she has to go to Gqeberha formerly Port Elizabeth where she is going to be campaigning for DA.
