City Press reports that popular actress, Zinhle Mabena, is a free woman after her estranged husband, Robert Ngwenya, withdrew assault charges against her.

The newspaper reports that the charge sheet relating to the case against Zinhle went missing and the case would not start for two hours.

Ngwenya had an altercation with Zinhle ‘s supporters, who were led by Tebogo Lerole and Congolese blesser, Serge Cabonge.

Lerole is the founder of Mzanzi Act Now, a non profit which fights against gender based violence, which he founded after the murder Tshegofatso Pule.

Ngwenya opened the assault case against Zinhle after she beat him with a broomstick during an argument  at their Midrand home in June 2020.
