Gospel musician Zahara real name Bulelwa Mkutukana has been fined R2000 for failing to submit her company Zahara Army’s income tax returns. Sunday World reported that Zahara pleaded guilty to the charges.

Zahara appeared in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on the 29th of September 2021.

The Loliwe hitmaker, in her capacity as the company’s director was charged by the National Prosecuting Authority for contravening the country’s laws.

Zahara is reported to have failed to submit tax returns for 2017/2018 to the South African revenue authority.

This was confirmed by Phindi Mjonondwane who is the National Prosecuting Authority South Gauteng spokesperson.

Mjonondwane said the court accepted an admission of guilt fine because the songstress had since submitted the tax returns to the South African Revenue Authority.
