Sunday world reports that popular radio Dj Bujy Bikwa, who is spending his first weekend in police cells at Midrand Police station, demanded to be kept with female detainees.
This comes as the openly gay celebrity refused to be put in the same cell as male detainees.
Bujy appeared in court on Friday 1 October and was remanded in custody until Wednesday 6 October, when he will appear in court again.
Bujy was arrested last week, after he assaulted popular celebrity, Boity Thulo, with a beer glass at her Midstream mansion where the two were hanging out on Monday.
Boity was hospitalised and is now recovering at home. She confirmed that they had an argument before Bujy assaulted her with the beer glass.
She revealed that Bujy said ‘let’s see if your ancestors will protect you’, before throwing the beer glass which hit her on the face.
