The DA is unhappy with eThekwini Municipality’s decision to provide sponsorship to millionaire Shauwn Mkhize’s Royal AM FC. According to DA they do not see it fit and fair to spend so much tax payer’s money on MamMkhize.
They say she doesn’t need sponsorship because she is rich, MamMkhize recently bought herself a multi million Rand Rolls Royce.
They are suggesting that MamMkhize must sell some of her luxurious cars so that she can sponsor and support her football club.
In addition the DA said funds must be used for the development of the city. Royal AM spokesman said its not the family’s money that is used to support football.
Shauwn Mkhize bought Bloemfontein Celtic Football club not so long ago and there were reports that she was failing to cater for all the footballers in the club.
However the businesswoman dismissed the rumours and said her soccer players were in no need of any assistance as suggested by the newspapers.
