The Premier Soccer League has issued a statement apologising to the South African Football Association following an incident that occurred on Sunday when Mamelodi Sundowns clashed with Orlando Pirates.

It is reported that a senior national team head coach was denied access to the Dstv Premiership match between Sundowns and Pirates.

After investigations by the PSL, they discovered that the confusion was caused by the League’s failure to inform the host club about the head coach’s attendance as per protocol.
