Ex-policewoman Rosemary Ndlovu is accused of killing her relatives including her boyfriend so that she could claim insurance payouts.

Six of her family members are said to have been killed in an assassination spree that began in 2012. Ndlovu managed to claim over R1.4 million from the insurance payments.

Rosemary is said to have assisted her family members to open insurance polices with herself as the beneficiary. Ndlovu is currently on trial at Palm Ridge High Court.

She has pleaded not guilty to six murder accounts, eight counts of murder conspiracies, four counts of fraud and one charge of obstruction of justice.

Rosemary met her boyfriend Yingwani Mabasa in 2010 and they moved in together a year later. They had a daughter together in 2015 but troubles began due to financial constraints.

Yingwani’s body was discovered less than 3 kms away from the couple’s house. He had been fatally stabbed. According to court documents Rosemary claimed over R400 000 and gave his family R40 000 for the funeral.
