The Durban Magistrate’s Court has handed down its ruling today of Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile.

Bonginkosi Khanyile was granted R5000 bail and he is facing charges in connection with violence and looting that took place in KwaZuluNatal in July.

Magistrate Vincent Hlatshwayo said it is not true that Bonginkosi Khanyile is being prosecuted for supporting former President Jacob Zuma or any other person for that matter.

He said it is however an offense to incite people into engaging in violent activities. The case has been postponed to the 23rd of September 2021.
