Former President Jacob Zuma is serving his 15 months jail term at Estcourt prison in KwaZuluNatal. Zuma handed himself over to the police after the Constitutional Court found him guilty of contempt of court.

The Free Zuma campaigners have been protesting ever since Zuma handed himself over to the authorities. They want Zuma released and they have been looting, burning shops as well as haulage trucks.

Police officers are alleged to have joined in those who were looting. Two police officers were among those who were arrested for looting in Soweto. They were found in possession of looted items and they used state vehicles to transport their looted goods.

On the other hand the CEO of Ubuntu Wealth Management Qhawe Sithole was also arrested after being found with looted items. According to media houses he has been suspended from his job pending an investigation.

He was found in possession of looted items including a washing machine, alcohol and braai accessories.
