The eThekwini Municipality recruited Dj Black Coffee to help them boost Durban tourism locally and globally. Black Coffee attended the Durban launch which was launched on the 23rd of June.
He listed popular places he likes in Durban including the rickshaw rides along the beaches. Because of Somizi and the Department of Tourism saga, everyone was asking how much Black Coffee got paid for his services.
According to The Citizen, the Municipal official, Phillip Sithole said they did not pay anything for Black Coffee’s services. He said Black Coffee was doing it for his City, Province and the whole of South Africa.
The Minister of Tourism Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane was caught lying when she said Somizi Mhlongo was not paid for the cookoff because Somizi was saying he sent them invoices.
The Democrat Alliance want the Minister to clear the confusion and the contradiction between her and media personality Somizi Mhlongo.
