Mother of ‘Tembisa 10’ babies lied about her name and age

The Sunday Times newspaper reports that the mother of the Tembisa 10 babies, Gosimane Sithole, lied about her age.

Sithole is actually 48 years old and not 37 as she had claimed.

Her first names are also not Gosimane Thamara, according to the ID seen by the Sunday Times.

The newspaper said the health department has not found the previous triplets that Sithole claimed to have delivered in 2017.

Family spokespersons who initially spoke to the media are now no longer reachable.
