SANDF Members Arrested For Smuggling Stolen Vehicles Through Limpopo

Seven members of the SANDF appeared in the Musina Magistrate Court on Wednesday for alleged corruption at Beitbridge border post in Limpopo.

They stand accused of aiding a vehicle theft syndicate to smuggle vehicles across the border. They were arrested by the Hawks earlier this week.

The soldiers were deployed at the border post between 2017 and 2019. They allegedly demanded R15 000 per vehicle.

They will remain in police custody until Monday the 28th of June for bail application.
