Piet Rampedi, the journalist who reported on the birth of ten babies in Pretoria has come out to apologise. He said he was lied to by Gosiame and Tsotetsi.
He said he never demanded clinical records because he thought that it was a story of celebration thus he never bothered doing any investigation.

Piet Rampedi broke the story of Gosiame Sithole who allegedly broke a world record by giving birth to ten babies at once. However the Gauteng Provincial Health Department said there were no records of the decuplets in their hospitals.
Following investigations it was discovered that Gosiame was not pregnant nor did she have any scars showing that she had delivered via a C-section.
