On Monday 7 June 2021 a South African woman from Tembisa broke world records when she delivered 10 babies at once. Her family has finally released a statement following such a blessing.
A family member by the name Mathapelo Tsotetsi who spoke to eNCA news said they are so excited as a family.
She said the news came as shock to the family because they were told ealier that their relative was expecting 6 babies and then later 8 but at last she gave birth to ten, 7 boys and three girls.
Mathapelo said the babies are still in the incubators because they are prematures. Five babies were delivered naturally and the other nine she delivered via a Caesarean section.
Even though there are some concerns about the little ones, the mother is doing well. The babies were born at 29 weeks thus they were not fully developed.
The babies are in a hospital in Pretoria. Mathapelo who is the niece of the decuplets said there are still no pictures to show to the public.
