Benni McCarthy Wins PSL Coach of the Season Award

Benni McCarthy was amongst the big winners of the 2020/21 PSL awards. It was AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy who steered Usuthu from 12th place when he was hired in December to 2nd place ahead of Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows.

Benni McCarthy pipped Mamelodi Sundowns coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rhulani Mokoena as well as Golden Arrows’ Mandla Ncikiza to lift the title.

McCarthy who was underestimated by many proved his credentials as one of the best coaches in South Africa.
