NPA Seizes Assets Valued Over R520 Million From the Guptas and Associates

The NPA’s Investigating Directorate has approached Interpol to help extradite some members of the Gupta family and their associates.

Investigating Directorate spokesperson Sindisiwe Seboka said assets to the value of R520 million were seized.

She said the house in Saxonworld was seized and it is valued at R12 million, a Cape Town House including jewellery at the premises aswell as R500 000 was also seized.

Seboka added that they were also targeting offshore assets belonging to the Guptas and their associates.

She revealed that South Africa has a treaty with India which will facilitate the extradition process, she also said they were in talks with the United Arab Emirates to have the suspects extradited.
