The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have condemned attacks on Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane after derogatory posters were held aloft and violent scenes unfolded.

This came after he and his team arrived in their team bus at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday for their CAF Champions League second leg clash against his former side, Mamelodi Sundowns.

In a statement released on Sunday 23 May, the EFF said that Mosimane is an exceptional coach and deserves nothing but respect for his efforts to grow African football, and have called for those involved to be severely punished.

The EFF said that Mosimane does not owe Sundowns anything.

Moreover, the EFF called on the SAFA and CAF to fine Mamelodi Sundowns and those fans to be fined and handed punishments for the incident which took place in order to curb this kind of hooliganism and unsportsmanlike behaviour.

The EFF is proud of Coach Pitso Mosimane and continues to rally with excitement his successful career at the top level.
