Journalist Devi Govender had a sit down with US comedian and Family Feud presenter Steve Harvey who said he was considering buying a house in South Africa but load shedding had discouraged him from doing so
Devi posted a video of Steve where he addressed Eskom directly. He asked why there was load shedding in a continent with more resources than any other continent in the world.
Harvey urged Eskom to follow in the footsteps of Uganda, Botswana and Rwanda where the lights are always on and there is no load shedding.

South introduced stage one load shedding at the beginning of winter. It starts at 5p.m and ends at 10p.m. Even Devi called the situation embarrassing.
