On Thursday evening whilst Norma Mngoma was in the middle of giving her testimony against Malusi Gigaba, the deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo was given an alarm that forced him to halt proceedings due to a security breach which he confirmed.

The Commission was set to resume on Friday morning with Norma Mngoma assuring those interested with a post on her Instagram page which is now deleted. Below is what she posted.

“Situation right now, when I said the truth will come out one day, this is part of it…for now I want to thank the SAPS for protecting me. I can’t say much about what happened but I want to assure everyone I’m in safe hands🙏.”

The former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba tweeted and hinted that there was no security threat and that it was a ploy by the Commission to hold Norma’s testimony because she was not doing so well.
