Norma Mngoma, the estranged wife of former Finance and Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba spilled more beans during the State Capture of Inquiry on Thursday the 20th of May 2021.
Norma revealed that Gigaba had tried to hide his dodgy dealings with the Gupta family. Norma was responding to Gigaba’s affidavits in which he described her testimony as fabricated.
She said a lot of information related to the Guptas was deleted from her phone. She said images and information related to their Dubai trips funded by the Guptas were deleted aswell as pictures of the car the Guptas bought for Malusi as a gift.
In her testimony Norma alleged that they made frequent visits to the Gupta residence when Malusi was a Minister. She said they would leave the residence with bags full of cash and on arrival home Gigaba will keep the money in his safe.
Norma Mngoma had a credit card that was loaded with R100 000 every month for her upkeep. In his affidavits Malusi Gigaba said the card in question was only loaded with R3000 to which Norma Mngoma disagreed.
