Songstress Kelly Khumalo is trending on Twitter following a statement released by rapper AKA saying he is not involved in the death of his fiencee Nellie Tembe.
Nellie Tembe committed suicide last month when she jumped off from a hotel’s 10th floor in CapeTown. A lot of AKA’s supporters are standing up for him and are demanding proof that AKA is involved.
Some however are saying South Africans have double standards when it comes to male celebrities. They are saying people always find it hard to side with women than to side with men.
Tweeps mentioned the case of Black Coffee and his ex-wife Enhle Mbali who revealed that the DJ abused her. She was labelled as a bitter baby mama by many on social media while taking Black Coffee’s side.
Another case is of Kelly Khumalo where the songbird has been accused of being involved in Menzi Meyiwa’s murder. It seems no one is ready to stand up and defend the women of Mzansi.
