The South African president Cyril Ramaphosa is trending because of his political party the African National Congress (ANC).

ANC instructed the party Secretary General Ace Magashule to suspended Ramaphosa as the president of the ANC.

This is because Ramaphosa faces charges of money laundering, buying an ANC elective conference, tender irregularities, pujury and bringing ANC into disrepute.

Magashule as Secretary General of ANC did suspended Cyril Ramaphosa in letter he issued on Monday. As a condition of his suspension Ramaphosa can not take part in all of the party’s activities until he is cleared from all corruption allegations levelled against him.

Other ANC members accused of corruption also said they will only step aside if he does so. Magashule himself was suspended on the same Monday for corruption charges by Deputy Secretary of ANC.
