It seems there is trouble in paradise for actress Sophie Lichaba and her husband businessman Max Lichaba.

A local publication has learnt that Sophie Lichaba and her husband are separated since last year. The separation according to sources happened last year just after renewing their wedding vows.

Now the two love birds are allegedly heading for a divorce after trying unsuccessfully to sort out their differences and rekindle their love.

If they do end up in a divorce, this would be unfortunately Sophie Ndaba’s dead 3rd failed marriage in 23 years.

Sophie Lichaba who played Queen Moroka on Generations was married to actor Themba Ndaba who plays Brutus on The Queen. They got married in 1998 and divorced in 2007.

She later tied the knot with Bishop Keith and they broke up just after 3 years in 2013. She then wedded Max Lichaba in 2018.

The news of their separation was revealed by the couple’s close friend who did not want to be named for fear of victimisation.

The friend alleged that Lichaba moved out of their rented house in Johannesburg and relocated back to his hometown, Kimberly in the Northern Cape. Sophie on the other hand has moved back to her estate house west of Johannesburg.

The source said the couple drifted apart after Sophie Lichaba accused her husband of cheating on her with a woman from Kimberly. Sophie has responded to these allegations by saying no comment.
