The estranged wife of former Finance and Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba,  Norma Mngoma has spilled the beans on the corruption deals between Malusi Gigaba and the Guptas.

Yesterday Norma Mngoma was testifying before the State Capture of Inquiry Commission. She was answering questions about her family’s relations with the Gupta family which was accused of capturing the state when Jacob Zuma was President.

Norma revealed that Malusi Gigaba was given a white BMW 3 series as a gift by Ajay Gupta and gold necklace as a gift for their first born son.

She added that Malusi Gigaba frequented the Gupta residence where he was given bags full of cash. Norma said the money was kept in a safe at their house and was meant for ANC elections.

Norma said they received cash from the Guptas as a gift during their wedding. She said the Guptas told Gigaba how Brian Molefe was to be a board member on Eskom months before his appointment.

Commission chair Raymond Zondo dismissed Norma Mngoma’s application to not appear before the Commission. Norma said they spent about R45 million on her wedding with Gigaba in 2014.
