With many soapies that have been there for a long time, there are a lot of changing faces. The plot becomes boring and viewers start losing interest.
There is also no shortage of new soapies luring their viewers away. This is fate of Generations: The Legacy according to entertainment commentator Kgopolo “Phil” Mphela.
He reported that the soapie has been loosing viewers. Below is what he said on Twitter.
The producers of the show will have to introduce plot twists and recruit fresh faces to gain back their viewers.
Mphela also reported that ratings for SABC 1 have been decreasing as well with the exception of Uzalo which loses and gains back numbers sporadically.
Most of his followers were shocked to learn that millions still watch Generations.
