Last year former Minister Malusi Gigaba had his wife Norma arrested for malicious damage to his friend’s car in fury over Gigaba’s alleged adultery.
During the course of the trial, the two divorced and during her arrest, Norma’s electronic devices were confiscated and according to Norma information like photos and emails were deleted.
Norma last week was releaved when the court declared her arrest by the Hawks unlawful. The information she said was deleted was in connection with Gigaba’s visits to the Guptas.
She was supposed to give the information as evidence to the State Capture Commission. It therefore seems obvious that the Hawks were involved in a corrupt conspiracy with Gigaba.
His attempts were to temper and remove information that links him to corruption with the Guptas.
