TV critic and entertainment commentator Phil Mphela decided to stick up for t.v. extras who in his position are being exploited.

Phil Mphela revealed that extras also known as background actors are being paid R150 per day for a shoot of 8 hours.

He said no transport is provided and they are only given their payment after a month. He also added that the extras are mistreated on set.

Actress Rami Chuene who once made a thread about the mistreatment of actors pointed out how the extras are made to bring their own wardrobe.

Rhythm City was pointed as the worst by one tweep who said they pay R120 and that they serve one boiled egg, two slices of bread and juice.
