Popular South African singer, Makhadzi (Ndivhudzanyi Ralivhona) , has achieved her first golden plaque since the beginning of her career.

This week, Makhadzi announced on Twitter that her collaboration with Mr Brown, Murahu been awarded a golden plaque.

After 11 years of singing, I just received my first gold status, Murahu featuring Mr Brown has reached a gold as a single. I am speechless and happy at the same time. Please help me to celebrate my dream come true.

Makhadzi released her debut album, Kokovha, four months ago and it is still selling like hotcakes.

Kokovha is the second best selling South African album on iTunes, proving that she has a very loyal fan base.

She appreciated her fans for their support and everlasting love.
