Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial will begin on 25 October, and moves to the Palm Ridge High Court. The five men accused of killing the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper appeared briefly in court today.

They were arrested in October last year in connection with the 2014 killing. Meyiwa was gunned down in Vosloorus at the house of his then girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo.

Accused number 2 and 3 told the court that they were being tortured in prison. Accused number 4 told the court that he was being forced to admit to killing Senzo Meyiwa.

He maintained that he did not kill and was not part of those who killed Meyiwa and was also asking that they change his legal representative.
