Tshegofatso Pule’s Murderer Receives Death Threats Even In Prison

The man accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of Tshegofatso Pule has told the Magistrate Court that his life is under threat even if he is in prison.

In his bail application before the court, Ntokozo Ntuthuko Shoba said since the murder of his girlfriend, his life is being threatened.

His lawyer said there are a number of voice notes containing threats to his life. His application stated that his life is at great risk.

Shoba was arrested last month and was sentenced to 20 years in prison for Tshegofatso Pule’s murder.

A hit man confessed that Shoba hired him to kill Pule so that he could hide Pule’s pregnancy from his wife. The hitman said he was promised R70 000 only for the murder.

Pule was stabbed and hanged in June last year. She was last seen leaving Shoba’s apartment before her death.
