Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has hinted that Bongani Zungu might not have a long time future at the club.

Bafana Bafana international, Bongani Zungu who is 28 years old found himself in hot water with authorities at his club.

This after being pointed as one of the 5 Rangers players who ignored Scotland’s Covid-19 regulations by attending a house party.

Zungu who is on loan was subsequently removed from the squad in order for him to isolate and it seems his future at the club will not go beyond this season.

The Scottish club has an option to sign the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder on a permanent deal for about R48 million but Gerrard has hinted that this might not be happening.

He said the club will move forward and remain with players who have remained professional and want to be part of a successful team.
