Sunday World reports that DJ Maphorisa (Themba Sekowe) has gone into hiding after two gunmen opened fire on his bus, critically injuring two friends who were in the bus.
The shooting happened on Monday night (8 Feb 2021), when Maphorisa and a group of artists were driving from Voslorous to the East Rand in Maphorisa ‘s Mercedes-Benz bus.
Police confirmed that unknown gunmen, driving an Audi A4, pulled up behind the bus and shot into the bus from the back. . They then passed the bus and shot from the front, before speeding off.
Two artists, DJ Deetoy and another unnamed artist are still in the ICU at Union Hospital in Alberton.
DJ Maphorisa, who was unharmed in the attack, has now gone into hiding after the shooting.
A case was opened at Katlehong Police Station.
