Shortly after Motjeka Madisha’s family laid him to rest over the weekend. The Madisha family was allegedly intimidated by the police officers who claimed that the funeral had violated Covid-19 protocols.
The videos of the incident which were shared on social media shows the police with rifles threatening to arrest Madisha’s father.
The police confirmed to the Citizen that the late footballer’s father was arrested for contravening the disaster management Act.
Vusi Ntimane posted on Twitter that they made sure that there were only 50 people in the tent and they couldn’t chase people who were on the streets.

The late Mamelodi Sundowns soccer star was laid to rest this weekend following his passing in a car accident in December last year.
