Owamie Hlongwane is currently going through a divorce. She revealed on her YouTube channel that in April last year she discovered that her husband was cheating on her.
Since then she introduced the use of condoms in their marriage as she feared that she might contract S_exual Transmitted Diseases.
Last year in November, Owamie went to get tested for HIV just to make sure that she has not been infected.
When the results came back she was HIV negative. She then went again after the window period and the results came back negative again.
Owamie said she was sharing her story in order to help many other women who are in relationships where they are being cheated on.
She did it also as an encouragement to those who are afraid of getting tested since South Africa is one of the HIV hotspots.
