The Ingonyama Trust has issued a statement notifying South Africans that King Goodwill Zwelithini is in the ICU.
The statement was issued on Sunday, 7 February by Traditional Prime Minister to the Zulu Monarch, Prince Mongusuthu Buthelezi.
The statement stated that the King ‘s glucose levels have been unstable over the past few weeks and a decision was made by the King’ s doctors to place him in the ICU for monitoring.

The statement says the decision to monitor the King in the ICU was taken as diabetes is one of the one risk factors for the current pandemic.
