Mpumalanga Premier,  Refilwe Mtshweni Tsipane,  has denied that she is connected to a Tshwane company that has been linked to a R200 Million vaccine distribution tender on social media.

The message that is circulating includes a screenshot from the CIPC showing the company called Jova Vaccine supply which was registered on 29 January,  but has reportedly already received a tender of R200 million and an upfront payment of R1.5 Million.

A statement by the Premier’s office said:

No member of the premier’s office is involved in an enterprise called Java vaccine supply.

The Premier ‘s spokeswoman, Sibongile Mkani-Mpolweni said the Premier ‘s daughter is 26 years old and is not involved in any business.

The man who registered the company,  Serati Simon Mashilo, denied the contents of the message and said he registered the company after he heard that the government will be rolling out vaccines.

He said he does not know the Premier and someone is trying to use his name to tarnish the Premier ‘s name.
