Greyhound/Citiliner have announced that they are shutting down their business after 37 years in service. They are closing their operations completely in South Africa.
Based on their statement, their last day of operation will be on the 14th of February 2021.
However services will run until the 14th of February 2021 and passengers with tickets booked for services after this date will be refunded.
Perhaps Covid-19 may have accelerated the closure of Greyhound’s operations. This is sad news for the people who are going to lose their jobs and the families that are going to be affected financially.
Greyhound/Citiliner serviced many routes in South Africa and other cities as far as Harare in Zimbabwe and Maputo in Mozambique.
