The Star Newspaper reports that results of a recently completed survey on the likelihood of participants to accept the soon to arrive vaccines have been released in South Africa.
The survey by the University of Johannesburg had about 10 618 participants and some of the surprising results were :
– 69% of blacks compared to 55% of whites will definitely or probably take the Vaccines.
– 72 of adults with less than matric will definitely or probably take the vaccines compared to 59% with Tertiary education.
– 73% of Cyril Ramaphosa supporters are likely to take the Vaccines.
Overall:
67% of all adults will definitely or probably take the Vaccines, compared to 18% who will definitely or probably not and 15% who are undecided.
Vaccine Rollout
Over 40 million South Africans are set to be vaccinated, with health workers set to receive the first batch.
