Popular YouTuber Owamie Hlongwane shared her story about how she got rid of her fibroids.
Owamie underwent a surgery to have the three fibroids removed by Dr. Mokaya in Sunnighill on the 9th of December 2020.
She revealed that the pain was not that so much for her and her recovery process was not so difficult.
However she was on bed rest from the 9th of December and after the surgery the healing process was like that of a woman who had recently gave birth and the belly is retracting to it’s normal size.
As for the prices Owamie said consultation fee is R1500. As for the surgery she said it might differ according to what kind of operation is going to be done and for her she used a medical aid so she doesn’t know the exact amount.
Owamie also shared that fibroids increase depression. She added that her womb is still intact even after the removal of fibroids. This means she can still have children.
Fibroids are non cancerous growths in the uterus that can develop during a woman’s child bearing years.
