As bold and confident as she is, Bontle Modiselle says she has always had abandonment issues since her father passed on in 1997 when she was just 6 years old.
Bontle revealed that she struggled with socialising with men and just being around men as a whole.
Sadly her father committed suicide when she was still very young. What became a burden to her is that she dreamt about it before it actually happened.
The musician said she dreamt of her father’s passing and she woke up to tell her parents about it in the morning, only for him to commit suicide in the next day.
So she has always felt like it was her dream that took him away which led to her being a socially absent person up to date because she never wanted to be too close to a person as she did not want to hurt them.
She said she got over the passing of her father through dancing as she expresses herself without uttering any word.
