Media personality Somizi Mhlongo Motaung said that he will not apologise to the journalist he insulted after she wrote fake news regarding his marriage.

A City Press journalist approached Somizi for comments, alleging that he was divorcing his husband Mohale Motaung Mhlongo. She was alleging that Mohale cheated on the star with a married man.

Somizi took screenshots of their conversation and posted it on Instagram. He then asked his followers to dial the journalist’s number which was showing on the screenshots.

The South Africa’s Editors Forum has called on for action to be taken against Somizi saying he must apologise to the journalist and the public on all social media platforms for his unbecoming behaviour.

They said Somizi must call upon his followers to stop calling and harassing them. Taking to social media Somizi vowed not to apologise.

Somizi revealed that companies he worked with were also tagged on the posts which is a sign that these journalist want to see him fall or fired.

He emphasised that he does not regret what he did because his husband Mohale never cheated on him and that there are no kids or a married man involved in their marriage.

He also said that he does not have a problem with journalists writing about him if the facts are correct and there is proof to prove what they are writing about.

Somizi Mhlongo said he would rather lose jobs than to be bullied for protecting the people who are dear to him.
