Former Eskom CEO, Brian Molefe, has accused South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, of conflict of interest in his dealings with Optimum Coal resulting in the current electricity blackouts in South Africa.

Molefe said Glencore sold 10% of Optimum coal to Cyril Ramaphosa as a strategic  way of obtaining political protection.

Molefe said Ramaphosa was then appointed the Chairman of the new company.

Molefe also used his testimony to attack Minister Pravin Godharn and former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela.
