South Africa To Auction High Demand Spectrum In March

South Africa’s Independent Communications Authority (ICASA) will auction high demand spectrum by end of March.

ICASA will auction IMT spectrum bands in the 700 MHZ, 800 MHZ, 2600 MHZ and 3500 MHZ bands for assignment to qualifying applications.

Last year, ICASA temporarily released spectrum during the lockdown which helped MTN and Vodacom to Introduce their 5G networks.
